Both volumes were published by William Blackwood & Sons in 1896.

Condition report

Plates are in place, rough cut pages. Both books are firmly bound with only very minor wear and rubbing to the covers. There's an inscription (dated 1945) and personal note on the ffep in volume one. There's light foxing on the first few pages but subsequent pages are largely unaffected. The pages are generally very clean and free from marks.
