This is a first edition published by Cassell in 1953.

Condition report

The boards are in very good condition and the binding is tight. Previously belonged to an "old men's club" (as per stamp on ffep). This copy is wrapped in a plastic sleeve, which has created a slight wave in the underlying dust cover. Some dirt has accumulated to the back of the dust cover and on the page edges. The pages are generally clean, however there's light foxing to the page edges.
