These volumes are the limited large print editions and represent copies number 37 of 250. They were published by Longman, Green & Co. in 1886.

Condition report

Overall, both copies are in good condition. There's marking and age related wear to the boards, as well as some rubbing around the edges and corners of the boards (see images). There's intermittent spotting across both volumes, particularly at the start and end of each book. The pages are rough cut and the top of the pages are gilt-edged. The tissue guards and frontispieces are fully in place, albeit affected by foxing. Both bindings are firm and aside from intermittent spotting the pages are generally clean.
