Published in 1930 by The Medici Society, Tales from Chaucer is a prose adaptation of The Canterbury Tales by Eleanor Farjeon. Illustrated by W. Russell Flint, this edition offers a beautifully accessible version of Chaucer’s classic work, retold for modern readers.
The boards are in good structural condition, though there is moderate discolouration, particularly to the back cover, and some light marking to both boards (see images). An inscription dated 1930 is present on the front free endpaper (FFEP). There is very light spotting on the title page, but the pages themselves are clean, and the binding remains firm. Overall, this copy is in good condition, and would be classified as in ‘very good’ condition if it weren’t for the discolouration to the boards.
