This is a ninth edition copy published by E. & S. Livingstone in 1950. It includes 234 illustrations.

Condition report

There's some pencil markings on the contents page, however the remaining pages are largely clean and free from marks, notes and marginalia (however, there are some notes on the very last end page). The spine is cocked, however the binding is tight. There's discolouration, age related wear and some marks to the boards (see images). There's also an inscription on the ffep and pastedown.
