The set is in good condition for its age. Below is a detailed assessment of each volume: 1. Volume I: 5-6cm crack to the spine cloth’s top right edge. Boards exhibit light marking, edge wear, and a 3cm tear to the front board’s cloth by the spine. Heavy spotting to the first 40 pages; light to moderate spotting and tanning thereafter. 2. Volume II: 1cm crack to the top left spine cloth edge. Boards have light discolouration on the front. Light to moderate spotting and tanning throughout. Latin stamp on the back of the title page. 3. Volume III: Moderate rubbing to the spine edges. Boards in good condition with light discolouration to the front. Light to moderate spotting and tanning throughout. Latin stamp on the back of the title page (present across most volumes). 4. Volume IV: Rubbing to the spine cloth. Boards lightly discoloured. Spotting on the first and last few pages; otherwise, light tanning throughout. 5. Volume V: 3cm crack to the top right spine cloth edge. Boards have some light marking and edge wear. Heavy tanning to the first few pages; light tanning throughout. 6. Volume VI: Slight crack to the top right spine cloth edge. Boards are marked lightly. Moderate tanning and spotting throughout. 7. Volume VII: Light discolouration to boards, rubbing to the spine cloth. Moderate tanning to the first few pages; light spotting throughout. 8. Volume VIII: 3cm crack to the top right spine cloth edge. Light tanning and minimal spotting throughout. General Condition Notes: All volumes feature firm bindings and clean pages. Spotting ranges from light to moderate and is intermittent throughout the set. Tanning varies between volumes, with some pages exhibiting light patina. Gutters are intact across all volumes. Boards are sturdy with light discolouration and minor marks consistent with age.
