There is fairly heavy wear to the cloth on the spine, including a tear at the bottom and a 2-3 cm tear at the top right where the cover meets the text block, though the cover remains firmly attached. An inscription is found on the first paste-down, adding charm to the piece. The pages are generally clean, and the binding is relatively firm, though there are extensive notes on the last blank end page.
